People around me keep saying how fast this year is going and I guess all thing considered they are right but day by day and week by week feel like they tick by so slowly...
Waiting is so hard and at times has been excruciating.
Just to bring you up to speed Fred and I committed to adopt 3 small children that just happen to be blessed with Down Syndrome almost a year ago. This journey has been completely different than our first adoption. I think God was easy on us the first time compared to this! In the adoption world we call it being "paper pregnant" and I always joke that "this has got to be harder than regular pregnancy"(it's defiantly LONGER). I have never been physical pregnant (although I pray that God has that blessing still in store for me) but the ups and downs and the lack of control you have over "your own children" is hard to deal with. Through this adoption God has shown me that all the biblical promises I have read about He KEEPS! I have seen his hand in every situation and every step and that is really amazing and totally worth it! I know His timing is prefect and I can already see some benefits to this long wait we have had to endure but that I am ready anytime He is!!!!
Where are we now?
We have resubmitted our dossier to the SDA office and we are just waiting for an approval and then an appoint date! Once we have that we will set a travel date and iron out travel plans! So now your up to date!!!
