I Think I'm finally Finding BALANCE?!?!?!?!?

Things are finally smoothing out and it only took 5mths!!! I had to do the hardest thing ever I had to leave the job that I love so much... I really talked myself up and told myself that it didn't bother me to have to quit and that it was the right thing to do and all the other pros I could think of but when it came time to sit down and wright the letter to my supervisor I cried through the whole thing and I had to call my best friend (who is kinda in the same boat) to tell me I was doing the right thing... Thanks Darius!!! Once I did it and heard back from my supervisor I felt better about the whole thing but it was still hard; I have never had a job I loved soooo much! Anyhow to the "finding a balance" I have been getting Rorie and Cole on a good school schedule sleep before 9pm and up by 7am; took a few weeks but I think we got it!!! I have a good daily schedule going on; for me and the kids and now that it isn't 110 out side we have been able to get out more! I am always equipped with my camera and I have been sapping pics left and right Rorie is fed up... she knows when the camera is out and she refuses to look and smile but I always seem to get good pics when she thinks I'm focusing on Cole... STINKER!!!! Cole seems to be hearing MUCH better, when I walk in the room and start to talk he looks around for me and sometimes I get a grin!!!! His legs are soooo strong I can hardly believe it, he stands against your body for a few seconds all on his own! He has a GREAT personality and his smile/giggle will melt any one's heart!!! On to new pics...

"who's that standin boy?...... Cole Louis Karol, that's who!!!"

"look at those strong legs!"

"prepare to have your hearts melted... for that smile I'd do it all over again a million times!!!!"

"???????????? she is just soooo silly!"

"CRAZY EYES"

"see what I mean when the camera is not on her it's a problem... DIVA!!!!"

"he was a little thirsty"

"2 happy healthy kids... PRAISE GOD!!!!!... well three if you count Joey in the back there!"

Some Summer Fun

I have the BEST FAMILY in the world!!!! I was blessed to spend the weekend ith my cousins who are more like my sisters and it was GREAT! I always imagined having my kids growing up like I did, close to my extened family and Sunday night was just a small taste of whats to come. We had a little grill out at my cousins with some of the kids it was GREAT!!! We are planning to spend much more time together!!!

Yesturday the kids went to get tubs in! They both did GREAT... I thought Rorie would be a beast for sure but she woke up like she just had the best nap of her life!!! CRAZY!!! Cole on the other hand was not so happy when he woke up! The worst part of it was that they wanted to explain everything to me and that one; seemed to take A LOT of time and two; it only made thing worst!!!! I don't need to know just do it and give me my kid back please!!!! Once the kids took the meds to make them sleep it was sooooo funny, poor Cole looked like a limp noodle. It reminded me of when I first met him, he could barely hold his head up! He has grown so much and he is so strong and his personality is amazing he is just a little joker!!! Rorie had Fred and I rolling she was soooo funny because she was fighting the meds they gave her she waas trying to crawl away and play "Hey Babe" with daddy; I wish they could give me a bottle of that fun stuff!!! JK! I'm happy to say all my worry was for nothing everything was fine!!!

Ok... Ok... Ok... We are back!!!

I have heard from a lot of people wanting me to update and I feel awful that we have been away for so long, life has been busy and crazy I cant even explain but I don't want to make excuses. We left off with how GREAT I did with Rorie being sick and I did do GREAT for the first 24hrs but by the third day of holding nothing down and A LOT of crying and sleeping (and puking of course) I became a mess... I called the DR crying and he was just so great he took every precaution and had us come in, he ran tests and did an x-ray and nothing. It was a stomach bug but because Rorie's immune system is horrible it just took her longer to get over it. So here I am day four (Thursday) and we are supposed to be leaving for up north Friday morning. I wasn't sure if I should pack or what but I had to run to Target to get some things so I asked my Dad to watch Rorie... Thursday afternoon she finally started holding down Gatorade but I was kinda scared to try any thing heavier. Fred made some strange Ukrainian soup/pasta thing and told my Dad to help himself... can u see where this is going yet? When I got home from Target there was my Dad and Rorie sitting on the floor eat crazy pasta with hot sauce... I almost passed out but it being my Dad's first time watching the kids I didn't want him to think he did a bad job so I took a deep breath and waited to see what was going to happen... she was fine and she LOVES HOT SAUCE!!!!!

We went on our first family trip up north to visit my Grandpa for Memorial day and it was such a GREAT time, the kids had fun and I think my grandpa was sooooo happy to see them!!!

Rorie is walking around so good now we are working on getting her feet braces to help support her better because she is pretty wobbly. She has picked up a few words (Hi, Bye, Stop, Baby)although its so funny to hear her speak her voice is like a chain smokers voice very raspy. She has a TON of sings, I just cant believe how well she has picked them up! You will be happy to know she has stopped hitting her brother and now loves him sooooo much I think she thinks he is her baby but Cole doest mind at all he just giggles. Sometimes she is the only one that can make him laugh! Rorie is all singed up and ready for school in the fall and we just got our school supply list, now to wait for the best deals!!!!

BIG NEWS: Rorie turned 3 years old!!! We had a nice small first birthday party with her new cousins; it was a BUBBLE themed birthday party because we learned early on that she LOVES bubbles it was a hit. From her Grammy Stenzel she got her very first Vera Bradley... I was so jealous!!!!

Fred and I are not vacationers at all infact we both usually work to much to be able to get away even on a weekend trip but we actually were able to escape for a whole week to Door County. It was the best time ever. The first day Rorie fell and got a fat lip and the secon day Cole sat up on the hammock and we were so excited about the sitting up that our reachion time was delayed when he fell off and did a face plant onto the wood chips. But really it was a GREAT time to bond as a family. Both kids LOVE the pool, Rorie could swim every day if you let her Cole liked it but every day was over kill which is when he finally started having an opinion. Cole is VERY layed back and unless he is sleepy you would never hear a peep out of him. After our week in Door County he found his voice and that makes me sooooo happy. We found out he likes the sand when its wet and cold. He loves the lake with the water laping onto his legs. He loves the wind in his face. It's crazy he was like a doll and one day someone turned him on and now he is alive!!!

We watched the fireworks on the 4th of July from our backyard like every year and this year it was perfect we had family and friends to share the day and two little ones to hold in our arms when the fireworks went off. Cole wasn't impressed and Rorie wasn't scared so it turned out good!

Health wise the kids are doing ok. Cole is being transfered to Pennfield for Speech, PT & OT. Rorie is enrolled in school and will be starting that in Fall. There was some concern about Cole's hearing so we had to see a few specialists because his ear canal is soooo tiny, they found that there is a lot of water in his ears, that fact along with the fact that he grew up in an orphange with very little verbal communication the DR thinks he may have never learned how to respond to different nosies. Both kids will need tubes, they go July 25th to have that done and no matter how they comfort you and say it's not a big deal, lots of kids get this done I still feel a little shakey about it. Other than that health is doing GREAT!!!

My Aunt Cheryl held a bowling fundraiser for us last month and that went very good we raised $800 to go towards our loan. We have a kickball tornament scheduled for August 27th and a rummage sale sometime in September.
God has blessed us more than I can say and I'm sorry again for going MIA I promise to make time to update everyone. This MOM thing is harder to balance than I thought but I'm making it happen!!!! I'm sure there are tons more to up date you on but I'll post as I remember, Thank you again for your prayer and support!!!
